This hand-painted canvas features Mr. Royal, the classic retro mascot of the Kansas City Royals baseball team. He served as the team's mascot until Sluggerrr took over in 1996. Mr. Royal existed as illustrative branding artwork, so when it came to an entertaining physical mascot, the lion we all know took over.
